Barney, Ungermann & Associates utilizes realtime reporting to satisfy your time critical requirements. Realtime reporting is the instantaneous translation of shorthand entered by the court reporter on an electronic stenotype machine connected to a notebook computer. The resulting text can then be displayed in realtime on monitors and an instant draft can be provided at the end of proceedings. The equipment used by the court reporter is easily portable and can be taken to any location. Benefits of realtime reporting are:
- Rapid Access to information
- Same day use of diskettes in litigation support programs
- Easy accessibility to text for the hearing impaired
- Text is available for use on your notebook computer connected to our reporter using WinView software
WinView software, developed by ProCAT, allows users to browse text in realtime as it is reported.
- Allows viewing of text on user's computer as it occurs
- Multiple windows allows user to compare current text to previous text
- "Sticky Notes" and sound recording features allow easy annotation of text
- Issues and ideas can be identified and summarized
- Reports of user generated information can be quickly exported.
